Temporary Operations Technician at Kalmar Vatten AB

Kalmar Vatten AB is a municipal company tasked with providing residents with high-quality drinking water and treating wastewater before it reaches Kalmarsund. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a temporary operations technician for our team at the Treatment Plant, which is part of the Wastewater department. The role involves managing, maintaining, and developing daily operations, primarily at the Treatment Plant. This includes both monitoring and working on-site. The job requires you to be flexible and able to assist where needed, as circumstances can often change during a workday. In addition to independent work, you will collaborate within your own operations group and department. On-call duty may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a marine engineering degree, operations technician training, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have experience in similar work, and experience in wastewater treatment processes and work within the water and sewage sector is advantageous. Experience with database maintenance and documentation systems is also a plus. Some mechanical knowledge is beneficial for this role.

Since the job involves many contacts, it is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required; if you also have a forklift license, it is an advantage. As the work can be physically demanding, it is important that you are in good physical shape.

As a person, you are reliable and structured in your work and take responsibility for your tasks. You work well independently but also find it easy to collaborate and be part of a team. Being flexible and able to reprioritize tasks as needed is a prerequisite for the role. You are also service-minded and have a good attitude towards both your colleagues and external customers.
